5 Ways To Grow Your Business & Personal Brand in 2020

It has never been easier to grow your business and personal brand online. But I see a lot of women struggling and feeling overwhelmed with so much information available online and always changing strategies.

The world is indeed moving at a very fast pace, and things are changing faster than some of us might like. So, you always need to be on top of your game and know which things are old and not worth your time and which strategies are still good.

That is why I created this list of 5 things you can do this year to grow your personal brand. All these strategies are true and tested and work very well in 2020 and probably in the years to come.

So, let's jump in.

5 Ways To Grow Your Business & Personal Brand in 2020

#1: Live content

Going LIVE has never been as important as it is right now. People enjoy the real-time connection with their favorite entrepreneurs and influencers, so you need to be taking advantage of it this year.

I know that jumping on Facebook/Instagram/Youtube LIVE is really scary. My palms were sweating like crazy before my first Insta LIVE, but the audience's response has been amazing, and a lot of viewers of my LIVE ended up attending my live event the following month!

So you see, going LIVE can be very effective in building your personal brand and make meaningful connections. Also, your audience will appreciate you taking the time out of your busy day to sit down and have a chat with them on LIVE.

It's time to get over the fear and push that LIVE button. It will play a huge role in growing your personal brand in 2020.⁣

#2: Quality & educational content is a king

I have to say that I'm very happy that useless scrolling is dying. Users are becoming mindful about people & content they are consuming, and most are looking for a value-packed content instead of just binge-watching random people's lives.

It's awesome when you think about it as it really creates an opportunity for you to stand out and shine in the sea of influencers who haven't pivoted their content yet.

So, take your time and think about what knowledge do you have that could be interesting to others? What value can you bring to your audience that will make them stop scrolling, read, and engage with you?

You have an awesome opportunity here to create content that will provide so much value to your audience, that they'll keep coming back for more.

If you can do that, 2020 is looking bright to you.

#3: Podcasts will grow

Video content has been on the rise for a few years now, and now it's time for podcasts to take its place. Audio is huge right now, so if you have been thinking about starting a podcast, 2020 might be the year to do just that.

Don't wait for long, get yourself a microphone, and start recordings. What's amazing about podcasting is that it doesn't require a huge investment or technical knowledge, and it's very easy to do in the evenings while you're sitting on your couch.

You can integrate your podcast with your blog and Instagram or even a Youtube channel if you have one, it's a very versatile medium to use.

#4: Niche wins

You're probably tired of hearing this advice, but riches are still in the niches. Niche profiles will grow much faster and will convert much better than generic "all in one" profiles that touch many different subjects in their content.

And while I understand that you might not want to get stuck in one small niche and have many different topics you want to talk about, it can only be temporary until you get your name out there.

Once people see that you're an expert in one niche and that they like what you're offering them, they'll become fans of your personal brand and you as a person. And once that happens, you'll be able to start talking about more and more things.

This is how so many successful influencers and bloggers started their journeys and businesses by focusing on a small niche and then expanding once they become successful in that one niche.

So, if you want to experience fast growth in 2020, choose your niche, dive deep into it and stick with it. It is going to pay off, trust me.

#5: Increase of authenticity & realness

The years of perfectly manicured Instagram pictures and cinematic videos are long gone. It's time to show your real self and authentic lifestyle instead of curated one.

Gen-Z is taking up more and more space on social media, and they're very much into relatable content, so focus on that instead of perfect layouts and pastel colors all around.

Also, don't be afraid to show not so perfect side of yourself and your business, let people see the real person on the other side of the computer screen. It's going to pay off, and people are going to be willing to support your brand way more, trust me.

Even brands and large corporations are taking this more authentic route. They're showing more and more behind the scenes, sharing funny moments and memes, and taking an overall more laidback approach to social media. It seems to be working very well so far.

So, authenticity will play a major role in 2020, so don't be scared to let your true colors shine. ⁣
