4 Ideas Of Location Independent Jobs In-Demand In 2020

Remove working is becoming more and more popular everywhere around the world. People don't want to be sitting in offices 80 % of their time and prefer to either travel and work or spend as much time with their family as they can.

⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

A few years ago, I wrote a list of my values and true desires. Freedom was very high on the list - freedom to be my own boss, work from anywhere, at any time. Luckily, this is my reality for the last five years, and I love it every day! ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

The great thing is that the world is changing, and there is a demand for many jobs that didn't even exist a few years ago. So, if you want to start working remotely, to enjoy a better work/life balance, to spend more time with your family, or simply travel the world on your own terms, I have a list of location independent jobs you can get to fulfill your dreams.

Let's jump in.

4 Location Independent Jobs You Can Start Today

⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣#1: Content creator

This is a new career path that didn't really exist 20 years ago. Well, there were freelancers in different niches like copywriting, coding, or video editing, but the last ten years pivoted this job quite a bit.

If you have the skill in writing, coding, or graphic design, then you can get into freelancing and work from anywhere you want. Most freelancing jobs are remotely and don't require you to get into the office, just ask you that you have a stable internet connection.

So, that is the easiest way to start working remotely and become location independent.

But if you don't want to be a freelancer, and work with clients, you can grow your social media following and become content creator/influencer who works with brands and help create content for them.

While it might take a lot of time to build your audience and get brands to come to you, it is a career that is very lucrative and possible to do. You still need a skill of some sort as you would be creating content for brands you're working with, but it's a bit different than freelancing.

Followers and your community matter more than skill when it comes to being a content creator and influencer, so you have many options here.

#2: Content reproducer

Another job that didn't exist ten years ago and that you can do from anywhere in the world.

If you don't have any skills that would make you a good freelancer or you don't have an audience to make you a content creator/influencer, then you can help online entrepreneurs repurpose their content for different platforms.

Before you think I'm crazy to even suggest this as a job, hear me out.

Every single online entrepreneur has to create content, and they're all using content repurposing to make the most out of it. It's a skill that is in very high demand, and I personally was looking for this type of help myself.

Entrepreneurs need help turning their blog posts into videos, social media posts, and lead magnets. There is so much you can do here, and you don't really need any specific skills to get started.

If you're interested and think that you can do it, I suggest you start reaching out to entrepreneurs online and offering your services.

⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣#3: Virtual Assistant

Another job that has become very popular with the rise in entrepreneurship. Not many entrepreneurs want to hire a full-time assistant in person, but many of them need help with handling their business.

So, a virtual assistant is a great choice for them, and it's great for you as you can offer your help there. Tasks as a virtual assistant often include working with Pinterest and social media, email and calendar management, and everything in between.

You don't need any particular skills for this job either, so you start offering your services right away.

I would suggest reaching out to entrepreneurs via email or social media, but also, check out job websites for virtual assistant jobs as there are often people looking there.

#4: Stock photographer

Recently I bought a membership of a stock photography website as I need plenty of pics and realized that there were few options to choose from.

While many online entrepreneurs and businesses use stock photography, somehow, there are not many websites that offer good quality, unique photography. So, there is a demand here.

If you're a photographer or have at least a little bit of photography skill, you can start taking photos and selling them as stock photography for online entrepreneurs and other businesses.

By setting up your stock photography website, you can offer memberships that will bring you income every month. It's not as hard as working on taking photos during weddings or events, and you can do everything from the comfort of your own home.

Just always make sure that you're offering the best quality options, as you don't want people to be disappointed with the product they get when they buy your membership.
